Catholic Social Services

Catholic Social Services

With your support, we provide vital assistance to thousands of individuals and families facing poverty and hardship each year. Your gifts allow us to provide essential items like food, clothing and shelter to many of our brothers and sisters who are also working full-time but because of economic conditions are having trouble making ends meet.

Catholic Social Services also assists veterans at Saint Francis Commons in Scranton and Saint Hedwig’s Village in Kingston and operates pregnancy and maternal health programming as well as children and youth programs.

How your funds help Catholic Social Services

Your support impacts the lives of those living throughout Northeastern and North Central Pennsylvania and enables us to continue to serve the needs of others. Any contribution you are able to make to the Diocesan Annual Appeal will truly make a difference.

A lot of people get on hard times. They just need a helping hand and without Catholic Social Services, I believe it would be massively more difficult to do that.

Luke Malonis, Case Manager, Saint Hedwig’s Veterans Village

The one word we should never hear before ‘veteran’ is ‘homeless’ and unfortunately there are thousands! It is very important that the community knows Catholic Social Services has veterans at heart.
